Advocate Training Classes
Our Pre-Service Volunteer Training (PSVT) consists of 10-15 hours of pre-work (self-study) training, 38 interactive classroom hours, and Courtroom Observation. Classroom hours are often scheduled on evenings and weekends to accommodate busy lifestyles! Many CASAs work full-time, so we try to make our schedule work with varying schedules!
Our next pre-service training will begin in 2026 – dates TBA. Our standard training schedule is typically as follows (hosted over a 2 week period):
- Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm
- Tuesday, 5:15pm-8:45pm
- Thursday, 5:15pm-8:45pm
- Saturday, 9:00am-5:00pm
- Tuesday, 5:15pm-8:45pm
- Thursday, 5:15pm-8:45pm
- Saturday, 9:00am-4:00pm
Trainees must attend ALL sessions listed.
