Advocate of the Month – December

THE DECEMBER ADVOCATE OF THE MONTH IS:

Diana truly embodies toughness, dedication, and heart. In recent months, she has faced multiple significant life challenges, yet she continues to show unwavering commitment to her CASA child and the families she serves. No matter what obstacles arise, Diana pushes through with determination and grace. Her resilience serves as an inspiration to us all, reminding all of us of the powerful impact a committed CASA volunteer can have, even in the face of life’s unpredictability. She is currently serving on her 12th case in 9 years and advocating for a precious 1 year old boy.

She never hesitates to go the extra mile, whether that means traveling long distances for child visits or making visits to parents in a jail setting. She aims to build meaningful, trusting relationships with the families in her case no matter the circumstances. She approaches each interaction with sincerity, curiosity, and empathy, striving not just to complete required visits but to truly understand the family’s experiences, struggles, and hopes. Even during the busy holiday season, when schedules are full and demands are high, Diana consistently places her CASA responsibilities at the forefront. Case contacts were made, documentation was done and concerns and updates were relayed.

Her perseverance, compassion, and steadfast dedication make a profound difference. Over all 9 of her years Diana has held the same wonderful qualities we are celebrating today, but what is most impressive is that she didn’t skip a beat when life threw her multiple big challenges at the same time. We are deeply grateful to have Diana as part of our CASA team and family.
