Advocate of the Month – March 2019

The march Advocate of the Month is:

Kathy Hudson!

Kathy has been an advocate for a little over a year. She can be described as kind, giving, and dedicated to her role as a CASA and is “all in” all the time. Kathy never has a month where her commitment to CASA waivers!

Kathy has worked with several families. In her role as an advocate she is consistently committed to advocating for the best interest of her children. She bends over backwards to make sure her kids are getting what they need and makes it a point to be a consistent presence in their lives. She is a thorough advocate who can always be trusted to be attending to the needs of her assigned cases. She thoroughly reviews documentation, asks questions when needed, and takes steps to make sure her children are well cared for and have all that they need.

Beyond her advocacy, she makes it a point to offer help to the program in any way she’s able. From helping to load and unload gifts at Christmas time, to helping schedule CASA in community speaking engagements and sharing about new community resources, Kathy not only has the best interest of her kids in mind, but the best interest of the whole CASA program. She makes CASA’s success her priority, and for that, we are all grateful!

She may be an “incognito” advocate at times, quietly accomplishing her work behind the scenes, but there is no doubt that Kathy is an outstanding CASA and a true gem to the CASA program!
