NOMINEE #1 liane Murphy

Liane Murphy, or Murphy as we call her, is so deserving of this nomination for Advocate of the Year. This past year has kept her incredibly busy advocating for her 6-year-old CASA child. We often hear about children “falling through the cracks” in the CPS system and this case could have had a similar fate.

Murphy’s time, diligence, and dedication completely changed the course of this case. She completely dedicates herself to her children and because of this, she was able to discover that her CASA child’s medical and educational needs were not being met. She advocated to have the child move placements, and although faced with push back, she did not relent.

The child is now in a placement where we have begun to see him flourish, and even though there are still hiccups now and then, we can rest easy knowing that Murphy is on top of it. We are so grateful for Murphy and cherish her work ethic and heart for advocacy.
