THE december ADVOCATE OF THE MONTH IS:

Josette trantham!

CASA’s Advocate of the Month for December is Josette Trantham. Josette has been an advocate since April of this year and has done an outstanding job right from the start. Her case consists of two young boys who have recently been placed with a family member. Josette visits them faithfully each month, gathers clothes and other needed items that the caregiver tells her about, attends court dates, and communicates regularly with their caseworker and attorney. When she had a day off work, she ate lunch with the kids at their school and has made time during her workday to attend meetings regarding their academic progress. Most recently, Josette spent an entire Saturday with one of our CASA companions putting together a swing set for the boys. Josette also supports the overall CASA program by frequently attending social gatherings as well as in-service trainings. If this wasn’t enough, Josette does all this while working full-time as a public-school teacher for children with special needs! We admire and appreciate Josette’s dedication to her assigned family, and we are very fortunate to have her as part of our CASA family.
